Summary

In this role, I was primarily acting as a Licensed Counselor, but I supported research teams and helped develop new material for presentations. I also presented to non-profit CEOs and community leaders on the developed materials.

In my seven years as a therapist, I developed and honed my interviewing and assessment skills. I was trained to notice non-verbal cues and pick up on subtle messages, often needing to read in-between the lines for my work with clients. I further was trained in how to best present to groups, and was often asked to speak internally to small groups. These skills all serve me well in my time conducting research and particularly in one on one interviews.
